MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL

In Middle & High school we really are getting to the core of how executive functioning skills affects the ability to focus in classes, that are more formal, as well as managing workload and organization. At this level student schedules become more intense. The middle/ high school years are full of opportunities to apply skills and strategies in independent situations. There is an emphasis on self-awareness and accountability in addition to being able to articulate and self-advocate when help is needed. Many have a desire to focus on college- readiness skills. Self- awareness is encouraged and we want them to develop perseverance when faced with challenges. The activities & strategies I incorporate are tailored to meet strengths/interests and strengthen areas of weakness. Skills are also learned through current assignments, work  & situations encountered during school.
